This is a suit under the act of March 3, 1887, c. 359, (24 St. 505,) to recover $5,822.34, fees and disbursements alleged to be due the plaintiff as late marshal of this district, and which were either disallowed, or the allowance suspended, by the comptroller. The items of the account are very numerous, but they may be classed under a few heads. ' -
