Carl W. Little was severely injured on June 21, 1951, about six o’clock p.m. when a gasoline-powered motor scooter that he was operating northwardly along Granby street in the city of Norfolk collided with the rear of a panel-bodied truck owned by Bobert L. Kidd and operated by his employee, Elmer Eay Taylor. Little obtained a verdict for $30,000 against both Kidd and Taylor, and they now seek reversal of the judgment entered thereon.

Briefly stated, defendants ’ assignments of error are: Taylor was not guilty of any negligence that proximately caused the accident; plaintiff’s negligence…
