Schneider Corporation of America (plaintiff), a New York corporation, filed a petition for registration of a foreign judgment against R. W. Borrowdale Company, Inc. (defendant), an Illinois corporation, which had been entered by default in the Supreme Court of Nassau County, New York, on July 27, 1978. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 77, par. 88 et seq.)
