Appeals from two orders of the Supreme Court (Ingraham, J.), entered June 26, 1997 and August 13, 1997 in Otsego County, which, inter alia, granted defendants’ motions for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.
On March 30, 1995, The Daily Star (hereinafter the newspaper) published an article authored by defendant Theodore Decker reporting the outcome of a Federal civil suit in which plaintiffs asserted that they had been illegally arrested.
