William Warren & Co., a partnership composed of William Warren, Sr., and James S. Warren, were indebted to the Todd Donegan Iron Company, a private corporation, m the sum of two hundred and sixty-nine dollars, evidenced by promissory note payable at a bank. To secure the payment of said note, they, describing themselves as partners, executed a mortgage to the corporation, bearing date December 19, 1884, thereby conveying lot 334, according to the plan and survey of the town of Florence, Alabama.
