The appellant seeks to reverse a judgment for $877.64, with interest from July 15, 1916. Appellee began this action against appellant as the initial carrier of an interstate shipment. On June 30,1916, J. V. Stimson & Co., a partnership composed of J. V. Stimson and D. C. Stimson, shipped a car of oak lumber from Owensboro, Kentucky, to Buffalo, N.
