Dear Mr. Lupo,

You have requested an expedited opinion from this Office on behalf of the Non-Flood Protection Asset Management Authority (the "Authority") regarding the terms of office for the current members of the Authority. La.R.S. 38:330.12.1, which created the Authority, was amended in both 2010 and 2011. Beginning on January 1, 2012, certain amendments will take effect and others will expire.
