This is a chancery suit of E. B. Dyer against P. E. Duffy and others in the Circuit Court of Kanawha county, by *150which Dyer sought to compel J. hi. Camden and George W. Curtin to convey to him certain lands on Grassy creek and Elk river in Webster county. The decree compelled Camden and Curtin to make such conveyance, and they appeal.
In response to a letter from Duffy, not in the record, the nature of which we can only glean from the reply, Camden wrote the following letter:
