Ernest Alexander appeals from a summary judgment entered in favor of the City of Birmingham (“the city”) in his action seeking the return of cash seized during a search of his residence.
The record indicates the following. On June 4, 2009, the Jefferson District Court issued a warrant to search Alexander’s residence as part of an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs. The warrant, which was based on the affidavit of Officer R.
