The plaintiff was under the age of sixteen years, and the jury having found that the business at which she was put by the defendant was dangerous to life and limb; and that without negligence on her part she was, while pursuing it, seriously injured, awarded damages. The case was so treated both by the trial court and General Term that the only question for our consideration is whether the cause of action may be dealt with under the provisions of the act “ to prevent and punish wrongs to children ” (Laws of 1876, chap. 122).
