Charles Copeland was a participant in and covered by the Carpenters District Council of Houston and Vicinity Pension Fund (Pension Fund), his membership owing to his membership in the Carpenters Union. Plaintiff Wanda Copeland ceremonially married Charles Copeland in Rye, Liberty County, Texas in 1965. They lived together in Rye as husband and wife until their divorce in October 1981.
