Counsel for the defendant excepts to the judgment of the trial court overruling his motion for a new trial on the general grounds and on two special grounds: first, that the court erred in refusing to grant a continuance because counsel had not had sufficient time to properly prepare his case; and second, that the court erred in refusing to grant a continuance because of the absence of two material witnesses.
