During the month of June, 1939, plaintiff, Christine Lampaert, by written contract, agreed to sell to defendants E. K. and Helen Marie Marohn, a house and lot in the city of Seattle, for $2,750, of which five hundred dollars was paid in cash. The contract provided that the balance of the purchase price should be paid at the rate of twenty-five dollars or more on the first day of each month, commencing with the month of August, 1939, interest at the rate of five per cent per annum to be paid monthly in addition to the payment on account of the principal.
