This proceeding arises from the mother’s petition to relocate with the parties’ child to Florida, which Family Court denied after a hearing.

“It is well established that in reviewing relocation and other custody issues, deference is to be accorded to the determination rendered by the factfinder, unless it lacks a sound and substantial basis in the record” (Matter of David J.B. v Monique H., 52 AD3d 414, 415 [1st Dept 2008] [internal quotation marks omitted]).
