It is undisputed that on June 30, 1972 the defendant took his wife to the plaintiff’s emergency room for medical services; that the wife was admitted and stayed until July 12, 1972; that at the time of admission the defendant signed a form agreeing to pay for services rendered; that at the time of admission the wife was eligible for Medicaid benefits; and, that the unpaid balance of the hospital bill after partial payment by Commercial Insurance was $415.85.
