I ¡(Defendant, Rodney Mason, Jr., was convicted of one count of armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64 (count one), and one count of attempted armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and LSA-R.S. 14:64 (count two). After the denial of defendant’s motion for post-verdict judgment of, acquittal and/or new trial, he was sentenced to 55 years imprisonment with the Department of Corrections for his armed robbery conviction and to 50 years imprisonment for his attempted armed robbery conviction. His sentences were ordered to run concurrently with each other.…
