This is a suit for personal injuries sustained by plaintiff as a result of being crushed between an automobile driven by Mrs. Stauffer and a post on the corner of Canal and Royal Streets, in New Orleans. In making the turn to the right, Mrs. Stauffer drove too close to the post, with the result that the rear portion of her car struck -plaintiff and crushed him between it and the post, which was on the corner.

Defendants admit that, in so far as Mrs. Stauffer is concerned, there is no valid defense to the suit, and they concede that the only question before us is the quantum of damages to be…
