This action was brought by the plaintiff against the defendant in the district court of Douglas county to recover the sum of $4,000 for various acts of alleged trespass committed by him on March 15, 1889, etc., upon the west half of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section 4, in township 15 north, of raDge 13 east. An answer was duly filed and issues joined, and the case noticed for trial on April 4, 1889.
