Appellee, Grant Jackson, brought this action in the circuit court of Lauderdale county against appellant, New Orleans & Northeastern Eailroad Company, for damages for a personal injury received by him through the alleged negligence of appellant while engaged in his duties as a switchman in its yards at Meridian, and recovered a judgment in the sum of nineteen thousand dollars.
