The accused has been convicted of robbery and sentenced to twelve years imprisonment in the State penitentiary.

The Chesterfield County Bank, located at Chester, just before three o’clock in the afternoon, December 21, 1927, was entered and robbed by two unmasked men. They were both armed. The assistant cashier and a young woman, an employee of the bank, were required to hold up their hands, and at the point of pistols marched to the bank vault, confined therein, $4,722.10 in money was taken, and the door of the vault closed while the robbers escaped.
