RICH, Judge.

This appeal is from the decision of the Patent Office Board of Appeals affirming the examiner’s rejection of claims 14-21 of application serial No. 785,873, filed December 23, 1968, entitled “Method of Producing Grain Oriented Silicon Steel.” We affirm.

The Invention

Appellant claims a process for producing grain oriented silicon steel from a starting material “containing between 0.03 and 0.07% carbon.” To this allegedly critical range appellant attributes unexpected results in that the resulting steel has a higher electrical permeability and a lower core loss.
