The State brought appellant Sharron Scheikofsky to trial on the charge of second-degree murder of Lowell Scheikof-sky, her husband. A jury convicted appellant of voluntary manslaughter, and the trial court sentenced her to ten to fifteen years in prison. Appellant appeals her conviction and sentence. She asserts that the trial court erred in the instructions it gave concerning her theory of the case — self-defense — and concerning the State’s burden of proof on the self-defense claim.
