I. INTRODUCTION
Plaintiff Leticia E. Long alleges that her former employer, Defendant Endocrine Society, improperly terminated her employment while she was out on approved .leave to care for her mother. Plaintiff claims Defendant interfered with and retaliated against her for taking leave, in violation of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, 29 U.S.C. § 2601, et seq., and the D.C.
