This is a suit for specific performance of an alleged contract to purchase real estate in the city of Richmond from the appellants by the appellees.

The real estate belonged to all the litigants here as tenants in common. They inherited it from their common ancestor, P. H. S. Dawson, and their respective undivided shares were determined in a chancery suit instituted for the purpose. After these rights were fixed appropriate pleadings were filed in the suit designed to partition the subject in one of the methods provided by law.
