The plaintiff brought this application for a writ of habeas corpus, alleging that he was being illegally confined pursuant to a parole violation warrant.
On September 24, 1970, the plaintiff was sentenced to a term of two to five years in the Connecticut correctional institution at Somers for violation of the drug laws. On September 17, 1971, he was paroled. A condition of his parole was that he enter DayTop, Inc., in order to take advantage of its drug rehabilitation program.
