This class action was instituted by plaintiffs-respondents seeking declaratory and injunctive relief against defendant-appellant, the South Carolina District Council of the Assemblies of God, Inc., and others. Plaintiffs sought, for themselves and those similarly situated, to be declared mem ■bers of the Dillon Assembly of God Church and either the 'legal or the equitable owners of the Church property.
