¶1 Farmers Insurance Company of Washington appeals from trial court orders compelling discovery, imposing sanctions against Farmers, and finding that an insurance company does not have a right to attorney-client privilege in a first-party-insurer claim for bad faith. We hold that an insurance company has a right to attorney-client privilege in a first-party-insurer claim for *270bad faith absent showing an established exception to the privilege applies, such as fraud.
