In 1874 Thomas J. Elack, of Baltimore City, died, intestate, leaving four children and some grand-children —the children of a deceased son — his heirs-at-law, and distributees together with his widow. Letters of administration were granted to his son, James W. Elack, who undertook the settlement of the estate. Henry H. Elack and David Hudson Elack, sons of the deceased Thomas J.
