Mr. Justice Green :

After a very careful examination of the testimony in this case, we find ourselves unable to discover any evidence of negligence on the part of the defendant. The defendant, a woman, was the owner of the mill at which the accident occurred, but lived at a distance from it and was not present at the time of the accident, and had no direct connection with the work that was being done when it occurred. She was represented by her son, Frank Clark, who had charge of the work. The plaintiff’s injury was occasioned by some heavy iron plates falling upon him while he was…
