On January 11, 2007, a jury convicted Ishmael Paiz of lynching in violation of Code § 18.2410; use of a firearm while committing murder by mob in violation of Code § 18.2-53.1; malicious wounding by mob in violation of Code § 18.2-41 1 ; use of a firearm while committing malicious wounding by mob in violation of Code § 18.2-53.1; and criminal street gang-participation in violation of Code § 18.2-46.2.
