This is an appeal from an order of the Nebraska Public Service Commission entered in a rate proceeding instituted by Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company; Burlington Northern, Inc.; Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company; Missouri-Pacific Railroad Company; and Union Pacific Railroad Company, hereinafter referred to as “Nebraska Railroads,” to determine whether a general commodity rail rate increase authorized by the Interstate Commerce Commission on interstate traffic should be made applicable to intrastate traffic in Nebraska.
