After a trial before the District Court, the appellant was convicted of distribution of and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1976), and of carrying a firearm during the commission of a felony, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(2) (Supp. V 1981). He contests his convictions on a variety of grounds.
