In this appeal of a judgment entered on a petition for review of the dismissal of an employee grievance, we consider whether the trial court erred in holding that the employer properly terminated the grievance based on the employee’s failure to comply with certain filing deadlines.

The evidence presented to the chancellor showed that in January 1999, John H. Murphy was terminated from his employment as a case manager with the Norfolk Community Services Board (NCSB).
