The plaintiff and appellee brought this action in the district court for Douglas county under the employers’ liability act (Laws 1913, ch. 198) to recover compensation from the defendant and appellant for the alleged total loss of the use of his left arm in an accident arising out of the course of his employment. It seems to be conceded by the defendant that the accident happened at the time and place and in the manner alleged by the plaintiff, but the defendant denied that the plaintiff had lost the use of his *170left arm as alleged by him, and further denied that he had been disabled more than…
