BEAM, JUSTICE, FOR THE COURT:
¶ 1. This case arises from the tragic 2014 death of nine-year-old Patrauna Hudson, who drowned in flash-flood waters that swept through a drainage ditch that ran alongside her family's residence. Patrauna's estate (the "Estate") filed suit against Yazoo City for wrongful death under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act (MTCA).
