Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Columbia County (Czajka, J.), rendered January 26, 2011, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of sexual abuse in the first degree.
Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted as charged of sexual abuse in the first degree after an incident in which he subjected a young female relative to sexual contact. The victim provided sworn testimony, as did her mother, recounting that she was born in August 2000 and the sexual contact incident occurred in April 2010 when she was nine years old.
