American Cast Iron Pipe Company (“ACIPCO”) appeals from a judgment of the Jefferson Circuit Court (“the trial court”) awarding Sharon Blackmon permanent-partial-disability benefits pursuant to the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act (“the Act”), Ala.Code 1975, § 25-5-1 et seq. Blackmon cross-appeals, arguing that the trial court erred by denying her requests for the award of additional costs of litigation against ACIPCO.
