You have requested a legal opinion of the attorney general relative to the town's zoning of a large and substantial part of the town of Jackson consisting of 256 parcels of land. This part to be zoned is the Jackson Historic District already established as a National Historic District within the National Register of Historic Places under the jurisdiction of the U.S. National Park Service.
