Plaintiff-appellant Judith Diaz-Santos appeals from the district court’s dismissal of her employment discrimination claim for failure to prosecute. We affirm the dismissal.

I. BACKGROUND

Diaz-Santos, a teacher employed by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (DOE), initiated a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission during the 1991-1992 school year.
