This is a review of a decision of the court of appeals1 affirming a judgment and order of the circuit court for Juneau county, Raymond E. Gieringer, presiding. The circuit court issued a peremptory writ of mandamus upholding the position of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB),2 respondent, directing the Juneau county village of Lyndon Station (Village), appellant, and its president and board of trustees to remove and discharge William G.
