Tom Minton, the plaintiff below, sued the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, appellant herein, to recover $1,000, alleged to be due him on account of total and permanent disability, resulting from an injury which he received while employed by, and working for, the E. A. Young & Sons Coal Company at Jenny Lind, Arkansas. The insurance company issued a group insurance policy to the coal company, which received what is called the master policy, and each employee taking the insurance received a certificate or policy of insurance referring to the master policy.
