for the Court:

¶ 1. A jury in the Forrest County Circuity Court convicted Joe Johnson of armed robbery, and the court sentenced him to twenty-five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with five years suspended and five years of post-release supervision. Johnson filed a motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict or a new trial, which was denied, and he appealed.
