Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Broomer, J.), rendered April 22, 1987, convicting him of robbery in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The trial court properly permitted the victim to explain on redirect examination that he intended to give his mother the $300 he was carrying in his wallet at the time of the incident, since defense counsel opened the door on cross-examination to the line of questioning that elicited this information (see, People v Melendez, 55 NY2d 445; People v Torre,…
