The sole issue here is whether hospitals and hospital employees are immune from civil liability for the conduct of hospital review committees.

The facts in this case are set forth at length in the appellate court opinion (183 Ill. App. 3d 1072) and need only be summarized here. Appellant, Michael S. Cardwell, M.D., was a doctor employed by appellee Rockford Memorial Hospital Association (the hospital). Appellee Terry A.
