OPINION OF THE COURT
HOLDEN, Judge:
A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of unpremeditated murder in violation of Article 118, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 918 [hereinafter UCMJ]. In accordance with a pretrial agreement, the military judge dismissed the greater offense of premeditated murder and the charges of aggravated assault, obstruction of justice, and false swearing in violation of Articles 118, 128, and 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 918, 928, and 934.
