In proceedings under the Workers’ Compensation Act (the Act) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.), an arbitrator found that the petitioner, Jon M. Porvaznik, had sustained injuries as a result of two separate incidents arising out of and in the course of his employment with the respondent, Old Ben Coal Company.
