—In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the defendant appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Golia, J.), dated October 22, 1997, which denied his motion for summary judgment.

Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, the motion is granted, and the complaint is dismissed.

On a rainy day in September 1995 the plaintiffs were driving in the right lane of the westbound Grand Central Parkway in Queens when the plaintiff driver lost control of the car, causing it to skid from the right lane, through the middle lane, and into the left lane.…
