Does bankruptcy eclipse arbitration? Arbitration proceedings pending before bank*259ruptcy generally are stopped by the automatic stay—a key protection that allows a bankruptcy debtor breathing space to reorganize. However, the automatic stay is not impregnable. Section 362(d)(1)1 of the Bankruptcy Code permits the Court to grant relief from the automatic stay “for cause.” Moreover, motions for relief from the automatic stay are ubiquitous in bankruptcy cases.…
