Celestine and Lawrence Elliott (the "Elliotts") purchased General Motors vehicles in 2006 and 2007. On June 1, 2009, General Motors Corporation ("Old GM") filed for bankruptcy. The Court established November 30, 2009 as the bar date and General Motors LLC ("New GM") emerged from bankruptcy in 2011. Between 2012 and 2014, New GM issued dozens of recalls related to vehicles sold before the bankruptcy filing.
