FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

This is a medical malpractice action filed by the parents of Adam Omar Cruz on behalf of themselves and Adam, a minor, against Northeastern Hospital, Dr. Myung Hyo Shin M.D., and Dr. Robert L. Cogan M.D., both of whom specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. Plaintiff, Jacqueline Nieves Cruz sought care from Dr. Shin and Dr. Cogan at Northeastern Hospital in January of 1992.
